Learn the layout of the area. Avoid going into the northern parts of North Hollywood at night. The northern part is anything above Victory or Burbank.
Don’t wear expensive jewelry or watches or flash anything of value.
Don’t engage or make eye contact with homeless people. Just keep walking.
The public transportation system is not the best in North Hollywood. You best options for getting around town is by car.
Don’t wander around aimlessly at night. Know exactly where you are going and how to get there and back.

Don’t walk down any alleys or unlit areas at night. Avoid going down streets that look desolate.
